My Life
I have been around for over 70 years and have worked and lived in various countries but mainly in Ireland.
Many people from Marion Wyatt and more recently Cónal Creedon have advised me to perhaps set up a blog which is what I have done with the help of my new friend in table tennis Ankit Kansil.
On looking at the material there are many sections:
Sports – mainly Rugby and Rowing but more recently table tennis.
I have many DVDs of Rugby matches from the archives and will add a link to YouTube when I find out how to do it elegantly.
Scoil Stiofáin Naofa deserves a chapter of its own – I joined the staff there in September 1980 and was proud to be allowed enter teams in Munster Schools Rugby.
Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa grew from the doomed Scoil and has some interesting yarns.
My interest in Rowing was brief but very intense – worthy of a short section.
Zambia – 3 years spent there as a Lay missionary will draw stories out of the memory banks I’m certain.
Kent Education Authority: 5 years as a teacher of Maths and Pastoral Year head will yield yarns.
Family life in Devonshire St in the 40s and 50s is full of nostalgia, fun and tragedy.
I have begun to convert a large library of DVDs into MP4 format which is favoured by YouTube and hope to provide a link on YouTube shortly.
This first game I converted was Dolphin v UCD in the AIB League in Musgrave Park on the 14th of October 2006.
Any advice on creating folders and/or sections will be very welcome.
